For the last 2 months a friend of mine and I have been working on creating some websites. I though I would take a min and explain our first 2 major projects.
The first one consists of combining a POS (point of sales) web based application with a calendar. We are customizing the POS to conform to a hair style business and also we needed to integrate a calendar or appointment book if you will. The first round we integrated a calendar that we found on the web and it was very deep in detail and really was over kill for the needs we had. So after about 2 weeks of getting it all to work we scrapped the calendar we found and decided to create our own. Couple weeks later we have it done and it is ready for testing.
The second project is a Daycare Management System. We created this based off an access database that Dave had created a couple years ago. We decided to redesign the application and make it web based so that we could easily update and make changed, and add new features as time goes on.� This will enable us to provide better support as well. In the site it has the capability to store all the clients, children, income, expenses, and a ton of reports. Currently the idea is to offer the service to the public and charge a monthly or yearly fee and reap some rewards for all the hard work we have done. Please feel free to ask any questions or post any comments in the forum.
I have the planning of our 3rd project underway but any work has yet to be done and it is being kept a secrete so I can not tell you about that right now, but once complete I will let you know.
